Meet The Team
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
We are a group of students dedicated to serve the community. We hope to bring about change to the lives of underprivileged children and elderly through the little things we do.
Currently a F3 student at SPCC, I am active, energetic, and passionate – with each of these attributes reflected through my academic, physical, mental, and social endeavors.
COVID opened my eyes to the dark side of society. Thousands and thousands have lost their jobs, especially in the tertiary industry. Recognizing the opportunities I have had to develop both my academic and extracurricular interests and how the poor are suffering, I hope to advocate and raise awareness for those neglected by our society. This prompted me to set up “Light Their Rights HK” — to help the underprivileged through visits, distribution of necessities, and beyond. In the coming year, we are planning to run a mental health project which we would collaborate with different organisations over HK and hold a talk. Running charity events has nurtured my personal growth, from developing communication skills by liaising with different organizations, to learning financial and budgeting skills through fund-raising and event setup. To maximize community impact, I also try to inspire others to join me, and hope to foster a greater sense of social responsibility amongst my peers.
Ultimately, I believe that my strengths and achievements should not stand on their own — I hope to translate them to the wider community around me, bring positive change to those in need, and join hands with others to create a caring society.
I am currently a grade 9 student from Canadian International school. I’m thrilled and very honoured to be the Vice President of Light Their Rights Hong Kong.
Being the Vice President is about leading the team and guiding and influencing the members at the same time. Leadership has always been a big part of me, as well as my passion towards it. My common interest are mostly sports related like basketball, netball, volleyball and badminton. I’m also fuelled by a creative mind, and therefore enjoy drawing and writing poems.
During this difficult time amid the pandemic, I hope to help those in need from the poverty line and actively spread help and love to them. This is a great opportunity for me to gain leadership experience and assist in organising events. Moreover, I hope to raise awareness to the public so we can join hands to help.
“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.” — Proverbs 22:9.

As a form 3 student, I have always been passionate about serving the community and those around me.
My passion to serve can be seen through my dedication in Light Their Rights. Having been a member since form 1, I joined most events and helped with planning and management. On top of that, I actively participate in external volunteering opportunities to broaden my horizons as well as groom my leadership and communication skills.
Other than volunteering, I am an avid debater who loves to explore different social issues through debating on such topics.
Serving was never one-sided for me, but instead, full of interactions between the served and serving. In the near future, I hope to have more opportunities to contribute and serve the society both inside and outside of Light Their Rights.
